2021 MLK MASS CELEBRATION

Monday, January 18,

5:30 p.m.

A VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE

2021 MLK Mass Celebration - A Virtual Experience

Imagine this nation continuing down the racist, hateful, undemocratic, unamerican, sexist, borderline fascist direction we were headed in prior to November 5, 2020, and consider it was the black, brown, poor, and working class vote in places like inner city Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and surrounding areas, which blocked this nation from continuing its fall into the abyss of self-destruction. Our function as a light of freedom and democracy and justice was being crucified before our eyes. Black people in key places stood up, resurrected hope for democracy and justice.

Stands to reason that one of this year’s signature events brings to Kansas City in a virtual platform three influential and high-profile Congressional leaders who hail from congressional districts representing voters which turned the nation in the November election. On January 18th, 2021, 5PM, local hero, and the most tenured black elected official in Kansas City, U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver II, D-5th MO, will lead a panel discussion titled “Good Trouble at the Ballot: The Resilience of Black Voting Power.” Congressman Cleaver will be joined by Congresswoman Rashida Talib, D-Michigan 15th District, Congressman Hank Johnson, D-Georgia 4th District, and Congressman Dwight Evans, D-Pennsylvania 3rd District our of Philadelphia.

This is a virtual event you don't want to miss!

Join us Monday, January 18th at 5:30 PM on ZOOM!
